Air Hygiene

Airborne micro-organisms such as germs, bacteria, fungi and viruses can trigger health problems in humans and contaminate raw materials and fresh food in food production, leading to premature spoilage.

Air Quality is covered in UK legislation under COSHH regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 which specify that employers owe "common duty of care" to employees and others who use or visit the premises. Furthermore the European standard VDI 6022 states that air conditioning plants should provide flawless air quality.

Combining our expertise in UV-C technology and F.E.N's skill and experience in conveyor design and machine fabrication for food industry applications gives us the ability to meet and exceed our customer's requirements.

Ferguson Engineering operate from a modern well equipped factory having 40,000 sq ft of factory floor space; they have in-house manufacturing covering sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machinery polishing, fitting and an electrical department, all aspects of manufacture, assembly, installation and commissioning are fully controlled by them and can be undertaken as part of a turn-key operation, limiting the problems caused by external third party operations.

Combining our expertise in UV-C technology and F.E.N's skill and experience in conveyor design and machine fabrication for food industry applications gives us the ability to meet and exceed our customer's requirements. It has also enabled us to be at the forefront in developing bespoke UVC solutions. This separate company is called Applied UVC Technology Ltd.
